Merriam Turkey Hunting with Oldaker Outfitting

You will enjoy what Nebraska Merriam turkey hunting is all about.

We offer you three different locations in Nebraska for the pursuit for Merriam turkeys. The Merriam turkey hunting seems to be getting better and better each year. We have a very well managed operation that allows good turkey hunting year after year. This is a fair chase, free ranging wild turkey hunt. Our turkeys are not fenced in, or shot under bait traps. If you like the thrill of the chase, then this is for you. We don't shoot jakes at any of our locations, which creates a steady supply of adult toms on our properties. All three of our locations in the beautiful Pine Ridge, and Niobrara river bottom have massive populations of wild turkeys: an estimated 500 to 800-plus wild Merriam turkeys, which makes it a high success rate for long beards. We offer you an opportunity to harvest up to a (2) to (3) gobbler limit, with the average ages of our birds being 3 years old. Some gobblers that have been taken have weighed 24-plus pounds with good tree hanging spur.

The Nebraska turkey seasons have fall and spring seasons for both archery and shotgun hunters. Fall hunts will use the spot and stalk method with some calling, while the spring hunts will use the same method with the addition of decoys and more calling. We offer ground blinds, and tree stands for your convenience, which will be placed in advance to help prepare you for your hunt. This hunt usually runs a success rate of 100% and an extra day can be added, upon request to insure the harvest of an adult turkey. We always have clients contacting us to fulfill their (Grand Slam) dream, or possibly shoot there first Merriam. What ever the case may be, we are always glad to help you fulfill that dream, and be a part of that experience.

Our hunts are available in all-inclusive and unguided packages with extra days available upon request. Combo hunts are also available so be sure to ask. We book these spots quickly, so call today to book your Nebraska turkey hunt, and please call for pricing on hunt packages.

Semi-guided turkey hunts include: Free lodging, preseason scouting, confirmed roosts, strut zones, travel corridors, and feeding areas prior to your arrival. This allows you to begin hunting immediately! Meals can be added for an additional price, be sure to contact Melvin.
