Antelope

Antelope hunting isn't just good in Wyoming and South Dakota, come see what Nebraska antelope hunting is all about!

One of the most challenging, and rewarding hunts available on the prairie, but not impossible. Antelope are a very alert, and elusive animal that like the open terrain. This means tricky maneuvering to get close enough to get a good shot, but if you like a challenge, antelope will provide it. Our place borders the famous Ogallala grassland prairie, South Dakota, and Wyoming borders in the northwest corner of Nebraska, where there is an abundance of antelope. Some of our other property enables hunters to stalk antelope on property that has never been hunted in the Box Butte, and North Sioux Units do to limited tags over the years. It’s not uncommon to see herds of up to 200 antelope in multiple groups, along with smaller groups of 30-40 speckling the prairie side, a sight that is a great experience in itself. If we don’t see what you like in one group, we can easily move over the hill and spot a new group. Our antelope for years have seasoned year round on our property, and with good genetics, water resources, food supplements, and great management practices, we don’t see them leaving anytime soon. The antelope on our properties range from 60 to 80-plus trophies and our management plan seems to be strengthening the herd each year for trophy class harvests. Our antelope are hunted at water holes in late August and by decoying in the later part of September when the rut is on. We will have blinds, and tree stands set up in locations for our archery, and rifle hunters where the majority of antelope seem to be traveling the most. This allows you to hunt immediately upon your arrival. This makes for a very popular hunt, and books quickly.

Semi-Guided Nebraska Archery Antelope Hunts

*5 Full Days of Hunting / 6 Nights of Lodging

*Pre-season scouting, confirmed locations of antelope populations, rut zones, travel corridors, blinds, and tree stand set ups, and feeding areas prior to your arrival. This allows you to begin hunting immediately!

*Meals can be included for additional costs

*Most archery shots will be 15-60 plus yards out of tree stands, ground blinds, or spot and stalks. This can be a hard animal to approach, so it isn't uncommon for our clients to be taking 80 yard shots. Just make sure you have plenty of practice under your belt at 60 plus just in case. To up your chances, we recommend a fast shooting bow that you can hold comfortably and release with good accuracy. Cross bows are also legal for anybody to shoot, young need to be 12 years of age or older. We do recommend that clients bring a pop-up blind for changes in antelope movement.

*This hunt offers you a limited supply of Over-The-Counter tags for Resident, and Non-residents.
